Understanding Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
Psychedelic comes from the Greek roots psyche, meaning “mind” or “soul”, and deluon, meaning “revealing”. Together, the word points to the power of the medicines to reveal and work through the contents of our inner world, including the memories and experiences that we may have forgotten but still hold us like invisible chains. Modern neuroscience confirms that amazing potential of these medicines to help us rewire our neurophysiology, not just our thoughts.
Re-membering, bringing back together and integrating our pain and hurts is a crucial and often scary part of the healing process and growing beyond pain and trauma.
Whether we are haunted by our pasts, allowed ourselves to forget as life moved on, or we forgot through the mind’s ability to self-protect by blocking out things that were too painful to process at the time they happened, psychedelics are a powerful tool for safely working through the trapped pain that continues to disrupt or hold back our lives.
Sometimes simply being encouraged to think about difficult memories can trigger big emotions.
If you feel triggered, please pause and take a moment to breathe and care for your system.
When you feel ready, please continue.
Healing Mindfully
A quick point here, each psychedelic (LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, ayahuasca, DMT, etc.) offer a unique experience (what you feel, hear, sense, and experience in your mind and body) with different therapeutic benefits (addiction, treatment resistant depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, etc.).
These medicines are not created equally, do not produce the same effects with the same dosages, and can do serious harm if not taken with appropriate preparation, mindset and intentions going in, and the physical setting and supports for the experience.
Please be careful and reach out today if you need help.
Professional Training and Personal Experience

I completed training to become a psychedelic assisted therapy practitioner in 2024 with the group Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I received training in the science of psychedelics, best practices for working with ketamine, psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA, and advanced techniques and traditional healing approaches from communities around the world that have used psychedelic medicines for thousands of years.
I am a believer in the power and value of these medicines after experiencing my own significant growth and healing. Psychedelic medicine in a therapeutic context made it possible for me to experience rapid change in overcoming chronic depression and suicidality that came to feel "normal", like background noise in my life for almost 2 decades.
In addition to emotional healing, psychedelics helped me to give up tobacco, a habit and craving that I couldn’t shake for years and after many attempts to quit on my own. After a single dose of psilocybin many years ago, I have never experienced another craving for tobacco, and the intrusive thoughts and viscerally felt weight of despair that characterized my chronic depression and suicidality have become a distant memory.

Professional Training
Personal Experience
Because ketamine is the only FDA approved medicine, it is the only medicine that I can make referrals for right now (psilocybin and MDMA are still in phase 3 trials to receive FDA approval).
However, my skills and training as an embodied trauma therapist and psychedelic facilitator can be used with any medicine that you possess.
I would love to work with you to prepare yourself for the experience, support you as you receive the medicine of your choice, and then integrate the experience together.
I am here to:
help you learn essential grounding and deepening practices
set and clarify intentions and goals for the experience
navigate the medicine experience itself (hint: the key is often surrender and acceptance in some way), and then
support you in making sense of the journey and what was learned or discovered through it.
